If you’re not into skiing or snowboarding, go old school, at the Kirby Family Tubing Park. Four lanes of thrills and chills, and no more walking up the hill, since the Park is outfitted with a custom-built surface-lift system. The only one of its kind in eastern South Dakota.

From the North:
Take I-29 south to I-90 east. Take I-229 exit south. Get off on Rice Street exit. Turn left (east). Follow Rice Street 3 miles east. Great Bear is on your right.
From the South:
Take I-29 north to I-229 east. Follow 6 miles to Rice Street exit. Turn left (east). Follow Rice Street 3 miles easy. Great Bear is on your right.
From the West:
From I-90 east, take I-229 exit south. Get off on Rice Street exit. Turn left (east). Follow Rice Street 3 miles east. Great Bear is on your right.
From the East:
From I-90 west, take I-229 exit south. Get off on Rice Street exit. Turn left (east). Follow Rice St. 3 miles east. Great Bear is on your right.

Great Bear has no on site lodging facilities, however Homewood Suites by Hilton, conveniently located in Sioux Falls near shopping, dining and on the way to Great Bear, is located at the Interstate 2-29 and Louise Avenue exit.
