Nick Mills has participated in a full range of sports through Special Olympics South Dakota including soccer, basketball, bocce ball, track and field, and – of course – Alpine Skiing.  His grandpa, Art, was his coach throughout the years until he retired his skis a couple of years ago. Since then Nick has gained a lot of tips and pointers from the Great Bear’s Adult League. Nick refined his skills primarily through his time at Great Bear. More recently he also participated in training camps held in Colorado. He has competed in race events in western South Dakota and in regional events at Jackson Hole. He loves smooth control on the mountain, and a little speed when it all feels right! His favorite part of skiing, and of any of the sports, are the friends he makes.
Nick will be competing in all 3 Alpine Racing disciplines:Â Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Super G aka Speed.
