$10 Fifth Grade Friday

Great Bear Ski Valley & Sun N Fun Specialty Sports:

Hey 5th graders, from 3 p.m. until 9:45 p.m. every Friday $10 gets you a lift ticket, ski or snowboard rental (based on availability) and an hour group lesson at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m.

As an added bonus - after 9 p.m. all 5th graders can go tubing for no additional cost.

Participants can register either online or in person. Registration is only required for the first visit. Online registration ends at 8 AM on Fridays. However, you can still register in person Friday after 3 p.m. Please, bring a report card to prove your child is in 5th grade. 

If you register online, you will have the option to pre-pay, if you upload a photo of the 5th grader. Go to the cart to check out. All participants will get a pass to use for future 5th Grade Friday visits. 

Also, if you're renting equipment, the rental form must be filled out each visit with a parent's signature. Waivers are available to print ahead of time, sign and bring to your visit. MUST BE STAMPED AT GUEST SERVICES WHEN YOU CHECK IN.

Plus, present your 5th Grade Friday card any day during the season and receive 10% off your lift ticket and equipment rental at Guest Services! Not valid with any other discounts.

Conduct: I promise I will conduct myself in a courteous manner considerate of others; I will follow the directives of Great Bear staff: I will abide by all posted rules of skier/snowboard/tube safety; I will ski/snowboard/tube under control in a manner consistent with my ability and without endangering others. I understand that my privileges to ski/snowboard/tube and be at Great Bear are subject to revocation for improper conduct.

Risks:I understand that skiing/snowboarding/tubing involve significant risks of serious or fatal bodily injury or property damage from falls, collisions, overexertions, or otherwise caused by acts, omissions, or hazards relating to: hidden or visible objects; varying snow conditions; skis, snowboards, boots, snowtubes, bindings, poles, signs, towers, fences, snow making, grooming or maintenance equipment; crowd conditions or management; instruction or directions; injury assistance or treatment, or other causes like or unlike those listed. These risks are not always foreseeable. I freely and voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown.

Release:I release Great Bear Recreation Park, Inc. the City of Sioux Falls its Parks and Recreation Board and all of their directors, volunteers officers, employees, and agents from all liability for injuries and damages to me, any of my children, or any property while at Great Bear.

Our downhill and cross country ski rentals are industry-leading Rossingnol products. We also offer snowboard and adaptive ski equipment at affordable rates.
